For their 2014 lineup, Polaris Industries strategically repositioned the engine on their machines for a quieter ride, improved serviceability and added larger stators for more power.

In the midsize utility vehicle category, the Ranger 570 EFI side-by-side features a 40-hp ProStar 570 engine, placed behind the seats for a quieter ride. A larger stator delivers 29% more electrical power, which enables the driver to operate more electrical accessories. The on-demand true AllWheel Drive with Turf Mode offers smoother shifting, and the MacPherson front suspension and independent rear suspension offer a smooth ride with 10" of ground clearance. The Ranger 570 features a 1,000-lb. total payload and 1,250-lb. towing payload.

The four-passenger Ranger Crew 570 EFI takes the midsize model to the next level. The side-by-side has a 500-lb. box capacity with gas-assist rear dump box, as well as a 1,250-lb. total payload and 1,250-lb. towing capacity.

The five-seat Ranger Crew 900 features a 60-hp ProStar 900-cc engine, also located under the box for easy access. The drivetrain has been built for higher performance, such as powerful cooling for the belt and clutches. The on-demand true All-Wheel Drive has Turf Mode, a 1,750-lb. total payload, 1-ton towing capacity and 11.3" ground clearance. Drivers can flip up the seats for more storage, and the tailgate is easier to operate. The Ranger Crew 900 uses flush-mount, Lock&Ride accessories and Pro-Fit cab system.

For ATV riders, the Sportsman 570 EFI boasts a 44-hp ProStar 570 engine with dual overhead cams. The new wet sump engine simplifies oil changes. For easier servicing, the battery has been moved to the front of the ATV. The Sportsman 570 has a 6.5-gal. capacity integrated front storage box and a 21% increase in volume versus the front box from model year 2011.
