Phosphorus and nitrogen are essential for maximum corn plant growth. But, they are volatile elements.
Larry Sanders, of Specialty Fertilizer Product (SFP), says his company provides two products that can help to prevent the volatilization and fixation of these two elements.
Phosphorus: Avail
Sanders says Avail uses a polymer to keep phosphorus free and available for the plant. He says farmers using Avail can see a 10 to 15% yield increase.
Nitrogen: NutriSphere-N
NutriSphere works to prevent voltalization of n. "It overcomes the loss mechanisms that naturally occur in soils,” he says.
