McFarlane Introduces the Quadra-Till Disk Chisel

February 18, 2012 05:08 PM

Designed as a one-pass vertical tillage tool, the Quadra-Till from McFarlane fits into a vertical tillage system. The Quadra-Till is available in four sizes, 7 shank, 9 shank, 22 shank, and 13 shank, and it ranges from 8’9” to 19’1” working width.

The disk frame is constructed of 3”x6” tubing, the chisel frame is 4”x6” and the main frame is 6”x8” tubing.
The front disk gangs are adjustable to 12, 14, and 16 degrees for operating angle. The blades are set on 10” spacing and provide a 5” effective cut for residue sizing, and gang mounted reversible scrapers.
A coil spring system protects the disk frame from obstructions in the field, and it also prevents premature wear when operating in extremely hard ground conditions.
Heavy-duty clamp style shank mounts on 15” spacing provide even shatter across the working width of the machine. The 2” x 1 ¼” edge-bent shanks allows for 37” of under frame clearance. Hard surfaced 3” twisted shovels are standard with 2” straight points or 4” twisted shovels available as an option.

The leveler disk is hydraulically adjustable with depth indicator level ridges left by chisel shanks.
The leveling harrow is a fully flexible four-bar spike harrow. The heavy-duty gang angle harrow bars feature ¾” square and 11” long high strength teeth. The 11” tooth spacing provides 2 ¾” of effective tooth spacing.
