January 20, 2017 02:13 PM

At Friday’s inauguration festivities, a Michigan rodeo drill team is loading up their horses, representing their state, and honoring their country in a unique way.

The Mid America Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team performs choreographed routines and rides and parades, and the team will load up 18 of their horses and make the 630 mile trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the inaugural parade.

The team has performed at the Indy 500 and Kentucky Derby, despite not being accepted to perform during former President Obama’s first inauguration in 2008.
