The national average corn basis firmed 11 1/4 cents to stand 4 1/4 cents over December futures. The national average cash corn price softened 7 cents from last week to $4.25 1/4.
Basis is stronger than the three-year average, which is 1 1/4 cents below futures.
The national average soybean basis firmed 13 1/2 cents to stand 13 1/2 cents over January futures. The national average cash price fell 18 3/4 cents from last week to $12.68 3/4.
Basis remains better than the three-year average, which is 14 3/4 cents below futures for this week.
The national average soft red winter (SRW) wheat basis firmed 2 1/4 cents to 27 cents below December futures. The average cash price softened 19 1/2 cents to $6.26 1/4. The national average hard red winter (HRW) basis firmed 3/4 cents to 15 cents under December futures. The average cash price fell 15 1/2 cents to $7.16 1/2.
Basis remains better than the three-year average for SRW and HRW. The three-year average SRW basis for this week is 30 3/4 cents under futures and 59 1/2 cents under futures for HRW.
Last week's cash cattle trade occurred at $132.06, down 17 cents from the previous week. Expectations for this week are for least steady to slightly lower trade. Last year at this time, the cash price was $124.75.
Choice boxed beef prices softened $1.12 from last week to $204.56. Last year at this time, Choice boxed beef prices were $193.93.
Average lean carcass bids are $2.72 lower than last week at $87.03. Last year's lean carcass price on this date was $82.49.
Pork cutout values are 49 cents higher than last week at $92.91. Last year at this time, the average cutout price stood at $85.97.
