Mobile App Finds of the Week

Farmville? Fairy Farmer? Princess Farm Games? These aren’t the ag apps you’re looking for, but that’s exactly what kind of results you’ll get searching for “farming” apps in the Google Play store or iTunes.

Cut through the clutter with the AgWeb App Finder, an industry-leading collection of helpful farming apps. Users can search by category, ratings and more. Each app is assigned to one or more categories, including markets/commodities, weather, business, livestock and crops.

More than 70 apps have already been reviewed, and the list continues to grow. Here are a few of the newest additions.

  • FCSAmerica – this app provides customers with access to their Farm Credit Services of America lending account details, transaction history, and the ability to make payments remotely to a line of credit using Remote Deposit.
  • TractorPal – this app provides producers with a platform to track details about their farm machinery and equipment.
  • Pesticide and Field Records – Iowa State University's app provides a tool for users to customize making field records.
  • Mix Tank –developed by Precision Laboratories, this app helps producers to create tank mixes, build mix sheets, track spraying occasions and learn about agricultural spray products that are available.
  • MFA Agronomy Guide – this agronomy resource that addresses a wide range of crops: corn, soybeans, sorghum, rice, forages and small grains.
