National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) CEO Rick Tolman is "thrilled" Pro Farmer recognized Darrin Ihnen as its 2011 Ag Person of the Year.

"Darrin is a tremendous leader and a great individual and serves as a very strong and credible voice for American Agriculture. He is very deserving of being recognized," said Tolman. "Pro Farmer is a very prestigious organization and this award will mean much to him and to those who know him and have worked with him. It will be appropriately reflective of his sacrifices and contributions on behalf of those who he has so ably represented. He is an outstanding representative of the kind of person that this recognition is designed for. I congratulate Darrin on the award and Pro Farmer on a great choice."

Editors note: In our Dec. 31, 2011, Pro Farmer Newsletter, we recognized Ihnen as the 2011 Ag Person of the Year for his commitment to agriculture. Read more about it in our subscriptions section.
