NCGA's President Spurlock Plans for the Year Ahead

November 23, 2016 12:17 PM

In 1903, the Spurlock Community Chapel was built after Wesley Spurlock’s ancestors traveled from Arkansas to the Texas Panhandle, looking for a new life.

The church has been a place of hope and new beginnings for more than a century, and that sentiment continues to drive the Spurlock Family Farm.

“We’re thankful that we’re a multi-generational family,” said Spurlock, president of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA). “We’ve got 5th, 6th, and 7th generations out here on the farm working.”

The 2016 harvest season will cut its own path in the Spurlock family legacy, as well as Spurlock’s leadership position representing U.S. corn growers.

Learn Spurlock’s plans as NCGA’s president in the year ahead and the role his family plays on Harvest of Thanks above.
