Let It Snow

Curtis Industries' new 72" Sno-Pro plow systems are designed for everyday use on utility vehicles and side-by-sides. The Straight Plow is 19" tall, made of heavy-gauge steel and weighs 180 lb. with mount. The Highway Style Plow and mount weigh 190 lb., with a top taper height of 28" and bottom taper height of 18". It is made of high-density, impact-resistant polymer with extensive bracing for strength and durability. Mounting kits are available for the Yamaha Rhino; kits for other makes and models are planned soon. Both plows have Curtis's Quick Attach system and can be raised more than 12" as to not interfere with ground clearance. An adjustable limit switch helps prevent overdriving the winch and stalling the winch motor (winch is not included). Spot Weld Remover

The HTP Spot Mill lets you remove spot welds easily, even if you don't have access to both sides of the panel. This new tool has a hardened cobalt steel bullet-point drill bit, like the kind found in a Bridgeport milling machine. Depth of cut is selected by turning the adjusting ring, so the tool can be set to cut only through the upper panel. The high-torque, low-revolutions-per-minute motor cuts out welds quickly, without overheating the drill bit. The Spot Mill comes in a molded case with four replacement bits, regulator and oiler. Additional bits are also available. Contact: HTP America, Inc., 3200 Nordic Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005; (800) 872-9353;

Data Transporter

Onset Computer introduces the HOBO U30 Data Shuttle, a data retrieval device for use with the HOBO U30/NRC Remote Monitoring System. The Shuttle allows users to offload data in the field and transport it back to a PC or Mac computer for analysis. An LCD display provides current sensor readings, as well as battery and logger status. The system has a large memory to store data from multiple data loggers and a direct USB connection to the host computer. Stop Right There, Thief!

Valley Irrigation offers several products to help prevent theft of copper wire from irrigation equipment. The CableGuard line includes: span cable clamps to fit Valley flanges for 5" to 10" pipe; stainless steel banding that can be spaced at the buyer's discretion; flexible steel conduit and steel mesh conduit that can be placed over the entire cable; cable armor to protect against bolt cutters; and a voice and SMS (text message) dialing system that alerts producers to cuts in the span cable and other problems. A kit to repair cable where it is cut instead of the entire line is also available. Contact: Valmont Irrigation, 7002 N. 288th St., Valley, NE 68064; (402) 359-2201;
