U.S. average all-milk prices improved in November, reaching their highest point of the year, according to the USDA/NASS Ag Prices report. Combined with lower average feed costs, November’s margin calculated under the Margin Protection Program for Dairy (MPP-Dairy) also improved.
USDA estimated the November 2015 U.S. average all-milk price at $18.20/cwt., up 50¢ from October, but $4.80 (21%) less than November 2014’s average of $23.00/cwt. The November 2015 average is the highest since December 2014.
