NWS 6-10 Day: Warm/Dry for Southern Plains

The National Weather Service forecast for May 27 through 31 calls for above-normal temps from the Rockies eastward, with the heart of the heat in the Southern eastern Corn Belt and Kentucky. Above-normal precip is expected in the Upper Midwest and northern areas of the eastern Corn Belt, with below-normal precip expected in Kansas southward. The forecast signals rebuilding drought conditions across the Southern Plains.
