On-the-Farm Water Skiing

Who needs a lake to ski on when you’ve got a flooded ditch outside your corn field?

Many areas of the central U.S. have received a lot of rain in the past month keeping some producers out of their fields for planting. In rural Hastings, Neb. oversaturated ground didn’t stop one family from having a good time at Mother Nature’s expense.

Pamala 'Mcleod' Gregg posted a few videos on Facebook this past weekend of her family members water skiing in flooded ditches next to several local fields.

The Gregg Brothers crossed off a bucket list item today... and everything turned out okay...

In the videos the skiers can be seen as they are towed behind a pickup truck for about the length of a section.

What do the Gregg's do when it floods out at the farm?? Well of course go water skiing in the ditch!!

Earlier in the week Pamala had posted on the popular social media site about going to the lake, but instead received a lake in the fields.

Well, we were considering going to the lake this weekend... but maybe mother nature got confused and thought I wished I lived on a lake...

From the looks of the videos going outside to the flooded ditch to water ski might be a pretty cheap and fun alternative to owning a boat. Plus, you don’t have to worry about skiing in a no-wake zone.
