An Illinois farmer bought the first two John Deere 9620RX tractors off the assembly line in Waterloo, Iowa and plans to shed No. 1 and hold it. The tractors were sold through John Deere dealer AWH, LLC.

  The list price for this tractor is $576,781 according to the JD website, build your own. If the guy parks one, does not use it for farming, can he depreciate it? Makes you wonder how he can buy two, must have a good cash flow.

  His name is Austin Apgar. Look him up. I believe John Deere uses his software he came up with in all there tractors. I've heard he gets $70 k a month in royalties from JD. He's a large land owner/farmer as well.

  Sounds like the guy sold 3 years of crop back in Aug 2012 you know for more than $6 and probably sold 3 more this summer for $4.50 Probably an excellent farmer and business man I tip my hat
