Pete's Pick of the Week: International Harvester 826

This International Harvester 826 diesel tractor with 4,337 one-owner hours sold for $12,500 at a farm auction this past Saturday (May 17, 2014) in northeast Wisconsin. There was extremely high interest in this tractor, and the bidding started at $7,500. It sold for $12,500, which is the third highest auction price I've seen on an IHC 826 in the past 18 1/2 years. Here’s more proof of what I call "The New Collector Tractor"....models from the mid 1960s - mid 1970s in good condition selling for dollars.

My mother has IH 826 she owns in York County Nebraska. My brother still uses it for the family farm. Great multitude of use for the farm. Dad brought the tractor at a neighbor's farm auction with 2,000 hours for less than $4000 in the 1980s.
