Following are key figures from this morning's USDA reports:

** 2009 CROP PRODUCTION **

  • CORN: 13.131 billion bu.; trade expected 13.081 billion bu.
    -- compares to 13.151 mil. bu. in Jan.; 12.101 billion bu. in 2008
  • BEANS: 3.359 billion bu.; trade expected 3.350 billion bu.
    -- compares to 3.361 billion bu. in Jan.; 2.967 billion bu. in 2008

** 2009-10 U.S. CARRYOVER **

  • CORN: 1.799 billion bu.; up from Feb. est. of 1.719 billion bu.
    -- compares to 1.674 billion bu. in 2008-09
  • BEANS: 190 million bu.; down from Feb. est. of 210 million bu.
    -- compares to 138 million bu. in 2008-09
  • WHEAT: 1.001 billion bu.; up from Feb. est. of 981 million bu.

  • COTTON: 3.2 million bales; down from Feb. est. of 3.3 million bales
