Severe storms are possible in the next few days in the northern and central High Plains, eventually bringing heavy rain to the northern spring wheat-growing areas.
From June 29 through July 3, above-normal rainfall is expected from the upper Midwest to the central Atlantic Coast; in northwestern Washington; and near southern and eastern Texas. Drier conditions are expected from the southern High Plains to the coast of Oregon, as well as in New England.
