A record number of the nation's most profitable farmers will visit Chicago this week to attend Top Producer's annual seminar. Nearly 600 are registered to attend this outstanding conference with topics ranging from commodity marketing to business planning, as well as investment opportunities in the agricultural industry.
"This is testament to the value the nation's top producers see in getting quality, timely business information. With opportunity for increased profits, but extraordinary risk, the value of this kind of business information for farmers has never been greater,” said Top Producer Editor Greg Vincent.
The event is scheduled to take place Wednesday, Jan. 21 through Friday, Jan. 23. Along with outstanding speakers and break out session topics, the Top Producer of the Year winner will also be announced Thursday evening, Jan. 22.
In addition to the Top Producer Seminar, the first annual Young Farmer Program will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Business consultant Dick Wittman, an Idaho farmer and rancher, will lead the program that is designed to introduce young and beginning farmers to business principles. Program participants will develop networks and grow their businesses.
