7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Registration: Expo Open
8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Master Emergence for a Boost in Yields presented by Missy Bauer
This session will take a deep look into stand establishment, the microenvironment around the
seed and the importance of uniformity across a field. Starting with the Systems Approach to
planter setup to evaluating the growth, development, and timing of stress on the plant, these
topics are certain to ratchet up corn yields.
9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Break and Expo Open
10:00 – 11:45 a.m. Hands-on Planter Clinic,“Front-to-Back Tips to Get Your
Planter Performing at Its Best” presented by Missy Bauer
Before heading to the field, take time to evaluate every aspect of the planter to make sure all
parts are functional. This hands-on session will walk attendees from the front to the back of the
planter to evaluate every component and how to check for mechanical soundness.
11:45 – 1:00 p.m. Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. In-Field Planter Setup for Maximum Performance presented by Missy Bauer
This session will focus on in-field planter setup. Attendees will learn how to achieve uniform
emergence starting with planter levelness, proper planting depth and adequate down pressure.
This session will also focus on row residue managers and coulters and how closing wheels help
accurately close the trench.
2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Break and Expo Open
2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Implement New Planter Technology presented by Bill Bauer
Learn about the latest planter technology geared toward uniformity across the field and
efficiency. From variable rate population to row cleaner technology and multi-hybrid planters,
attendees will learn how to implement planter technology to boost yields.
