Resilience Amidst Income Pressure

It’s no surprise to anyone in agriculture, but USDA expects 2015 net farm income to slide 38% from 2014’s 
$90.4 billion, thanks to low crop and livestock prices. If realized, the 2015 forecast for net farm income would be the lowest since 2002 and a 55% drop from the recent high of $123.3 billion in 2013. In the midst of an income hit, farmers continue to tighten their belts, innovate and maintain their determination.
