Calling all top producers to head to Chicago, Ill., Jan. 30–Feb. 1 to "Think Outside the Farm."

The 2013 Top Producer Seminar will offer expert insight on the shifting credit situation, global infrastructure changes, new technology, risk management and profit opportunities.

Not only will attendees be challenged to think about their farm operation differently, but they’ll also have a chance to network and foster relationships with other producers from across the country.

Early bird registration is open through Jan. 7 and costs $479 per person. Tomorrow’s Top Producer event, held on Jan. 29, costs $169 per person. For producers interested in attending both, a combined registration is available for $539.

The event will be held at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue. Reservations must be made by Jan. 7 to receive the conference discount of $159 per night, which can be done by calling (312) 922-4400. Be sure to reference "Farm Journal–Top Producer Seminar."

One of the speakers at the Top Producer Seminar will be Steven Levitt, a New York Times best-selling author. Levitt, who takes economics and turns it on its head, co-authored Freakonomics. His presentation, "Think Like a Freak," will help you gain interesting insights on problem solving in your personal and professional lives. Each idea presented by Levitt will be illustrated by a thought-provoking story or example.
