Sec. Perdue Talks Texas Resiliency

Weather is top of mind as growers push to finish the 2017 growing season, but it’s not the only thing on farmers’ minds at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill.

The House Agricultural Committee held a listening session Wednesday with more than 200 ag groups and industry representatives as they told the legislators what they want to see in the next Farm Bill.

While U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue got to enjoy the show, he reflected on the work he has to do in Washington D.C. and those dealing with the wreckage of Hurricane Harvey.
