Can a farm bill move through Congress right after the election?

House Ag Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson (D-MN) told us this week he plans to have a finished farm bill ready when Congress returns after the election. Is that realistic? Jim Wiesemeyer says not only is it realistic, but an expected push for hurricane disaster funding may actually help move a farm bill forward. Wiesemeyer, the Pro Farmer policy analyst, has details on the latest farm bill negotiations as well as potential impacts of President Donald Trump's threats to close the border with Mexico, the potential ag impact of the growing tensions with Saudi Arabia and more in this week's Signal to Noise podcast.

We don't need a farm bill! "Factory Farms" are becoming so large they can participate because of the AGI. Dangerous game to play with our cheap food supply.

The ONLY thing trump does well: conning many people to believe his madness is what's best for the nation. IMO his policies if allowed to continue unchecked will lead to a disastrous end!

Keith, are you thinking recession??? Facts are that every prior episode of "VooDoo Economics", has failed, and produced economic recession. Reaganomics produced a total of 3. The third cost G.H. Bush a second term as President. W. Bush produced an extreme recession, very close to a total depression!!! And with that, history tends to repeat itself!!!
