Following are highlights of the Weekly Grain Export Inspections Report for the week ended Dec. 22:

Comments:

Inspections were just below expectations and about 6 million bu. below last week's tally. Inspections are running 6.3% behind year-ago, compared to 5.9% behind last week. USDA's 2011-12 export forecast is at 12.8% below the previous marketing year at 1.6 billion bushels.

Wheat

Comments:

Inspections were below expectations and about 3 million bu. below last week's tally. Inspections are running 9.8% below year-ago, compared to 8.9% below last week. USDA's export forecast for the 2011-12 marketing year is 925 million bu., down 28.2% from the previous marketing year.

Inspections were were above expectations and about 6.5 million bu. above last week's tally. Inspections for the new marketing year are running 32.0% below year-ago, compared to 34.1% below last week. USDA's 2011-12 export forecast is at 1.30 billion bu., down 13.4% from year-ago.
