Swine Nutrition Resources Online

March 23, 2010 07:00 PM

Rachel Duff, AgWeb Contributing Editor

A new Web site, http://nutrition.ansci.illinois.edu/, is swine producer's online destination for research and nutrition.
The site, which was started by Hans Stein, associate professor at the University of Illinois, includes research with monogastric animals on feed ingredients, nutrient requirements and feeding strategies.
The nutrition section of the Web site covers topics such as energy and nutrient digestibility, feed ingredient calculators and a feed ingredient composition to come. You can also find podcasts and videos to learn about their current research and issues related to swine nutrition and management. The podcasts can even be delivered directly to the consumers through iTunes.
