What A Day: Soft Shoulder, Hard Landing
In an effort to dodge potholes and ruts, this rig hugged the side of the road a little too close and toppled over into a swamp. No one was hurt and thanks to the cushion of the water, both the semi and tanker returned to the road after the necessary repairs.

FFA and Mycogen Seeds Offer Real-World Experience
In honor of its 60th year partnering with FFA, Mycogen Seeds is working with select FFA chapters to give members an opportunity to sell corn seed.
“It provides a way for local FFA chapters to learn, engage and fundraise,” says Zach Ferguson, Mycogen Seeds corn product manager. “The idea is rooted in developing young leaders in ag.”
In addition to raising money for the local chapter, state association and national organization, students will also learn more about agronomy and the intrapersonal skills necessary to work in a sales role. The program provides students with the opportunity to ride along with retailers or Mycogen Seeds representatives on sales calls.
Mycogen launched the program at National FFA Convention in late October. Seven chapters from: Aurora, Neb.; York, Neb.; Centralia, Mo.; Shelbyville, Mo.; Manlius, Ill.; Charlottesville, Ind.; and Kentland, Ind., are currently participating, but Mycogen plans to expand in the future.
