What A Day: Stuck Before We Even Started

All it takes is one wet spot to ruin a perfectly good day in the field. The first pass was wet, the second pass was downright frustrating.

If you’ve had one of those days—or captured someone else’s—we’d love to share it with our readers. Email images to whataday@farmjournal.com or hashtag #FJWhatADay on Twitter and Instagram.

First Look At “Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman”

Commodity Classic attendees caught the first look at “Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman,” a new film to air on the Discovery Channel in August. The film weaves together the stories of a Montana rancher, two Kansas farmers and a handful of Gulf fishermen who feed the world while stewarding the land and water they work. The documentary is a tribute to the unsung conservation heroes of America’s heartland.

The film is based on the book “Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman: Conservation Heroes of the American Heartland” written by Miriam Horn of the Environmental Defense Fund. For more details, visit http://rancherfarmerfisherman.com.
