What A Day: Hiccups Come At the Worst Time
The Minnesota ground wasn’t the only thing frozen this day. The dump bed failed to lift properly as it unloaded heavy manure, pulling the cab up too.
If you’ve had one of those days—or captured someone else’s—we’d love to share it with our readers. Email high-resolution images to email@example.com or mail prints to What A Day!, Farm Journal, P.O. Box 958, Mexico, MO 65265. Photos for publication will be selected on a first-come basis.

The Original Breakfast Champions
Move over athletes and cartoon characters: there is a new champion on some cereal boxes. Farmers from Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota are appearing in a back-of-the-box advertisement on Hy-Vee brand cereal boxes. The advocacy effort for U.S. agriculture, sponsored by Farm Credit Services, started this past fall and continues into 2015. Consumers are encouraged to give a “spoon salute” to U.S. farmers. Hy-Vee operates 237 stores in eight Midwest states. To see full bios of each farmer or farm family, as well as facts about U.S. agriculture, visit www.agricultureworkshere.com.
