Three Happy Cows, 5 Years In Prison

Edgar Diaz survived harassment and kidnapping by leftist guerillas in his native Columbia, which proved to be the beginning of his success.

He fled to America in 2001, upon which he began working toward building a dairy business similar to the one he operated near Medillin. But as the founder of the successful “Three Happy Cows” yogurt, Diaz was sentenced last week to five years in prison for setting his manufacturing plant on fire.

In a confession, Diaz set the fire in March 2013, because, he claimed, the business was being sold “out from under him.”
