Titan International Hits Quarter Record in Ag Sales

May 7, 2009 04:30 AM

Titan International recorded sales of $232.6 million for the first quarter of 2009, compared to first quarter 2008 sales of $253.5 million. The lower sales level was primarily the result of reduced demand in the company's earthmoving/construction market. However, agricultural sales were an all-time first quarter record of $187.3 million, an increase of over $13 million for the first quarter of 2009, compared to $173.5 million in the first quarter of 2008. Large farm tires were of special note in strong sales this past quarter.
