Turning Point for Sorghum

This year is shaping up to be one for the record books for grain sorghum. More farmers are turning to the hardy grass crop to control weeds, diseases and insects, cope with drought and mind their dollars and cents. On the demand side, China’s buying pace is the No. 1 factor that drove exports above the 35 million bushels mark for 2014/15. In a challenging production year, sorghum is a welcomed bright spot for many farmers.
