USDA's National Ag Statistics Service will publish the 2012 Census of Agriculture full report on May 2, at 11:00 a.m. CT. NASS explains that the data will be available in a number of formats including Quick Stats 2.0.
The 2012 Census of Agriculture will provide information at the national, state and county levels on a range of topics, including ag practices, conservation and traditional crops. "The 2012 Census final report will also give first-time or expanded data on biomass production, equine, Internet access, regional food marketing and distribution, land use practices and agroforestry," NASS details.
NASS released preliminary data Feb. 20 on farms and land in farms, economics and demographics. The results of the Census will be used to inform policymaking relative to agriculture.
