Using Sound to Deter Disease-Carrying Insects

Scientists with the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARC) in central California are using sound to control insects that spread disease in grape vineyards.

In the video provided by the USDA, Patrick O’Leary shows the effects of “turning up the bass” on invaders.
