Want to have access to over-the-top use of dicamba? Here is your chance to let EPA know.

Currently, farmers planting Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans or Bollgard II XtendFlex cotton can plant the seeds, but cannot use the complementary herbicide. The next step in approval process before farmers can spray dicamba over-the-top of soybeans and cotton is passing a 30-day public comment period hosted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

During this comment period, anyone can submit their support or concerns about the chemistry. The comment period is scheduled for 30 days, but can be extended by EPA.

Farmers interested in sending comments of support or concern can visit this website and click the "comment now" button to voice their opinion.

The EPA reviews these comments and uses them in its decision-making process. Overwhelmingly positive or negative comments could potentially impact the agency's decision. For that reason and rising public concerns about the safety of herbicides, farmer voices could play an influential role in whether or not the herbicide is approved for over-the-top use.

Based on recent chemistry decisions, Monsanto anticipates it taking four to six months for EPA make a final registration decision. Given this timeline, Monsanto does not anticipate dicamba to be approved for use in the 2016 cropping season.

We have a farm 9 miles from Lake Champlain.on the farm we had a pasture for dairy cows forr more than 50 years .this pasture was full of worms. In 2011 we seed soya bean gmo roundup in no till,in2012 we seed gmo corn roundup ,smart stak ,genetuy, and BT.in 2013 we seed soya bean gmo again. In the summer i notice soil structure was changing it became harder. I took a shovel and i did not find anay worms they all disapeared .could it be the genes in résidues Who kills the worms? Before gmo corn when we plow in the field in fall a lot of seagulls where in the furrow and eat worms ,now when we plow no more seagulls in the field because no more worms ,seagull used to eat worms.one other question ,what append to bees when they flys over a corn field gmo full of gmo pollen they sniff the gmo pollen? They say ist safe ? Gmo corn kills wireworms it kills rootworms it kills corn borer ,could it kills other usefull insect in soil? Is it so safe for human like they sold pills for pragnit women in the 70s and had new born with out hand or whit out arm or whit out legs. For theese reason we ban all gmo on our farm it Is too serious. In 2016 i Will Check if worms Côme back in that field. we have other field where we Never seed gmo and they are full of worms

Careful what you plant. As far as I know EU has not approved Dicamba X Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield Soybeans and various co-ops will not take those beans until approval by EU market.
