Weekly Sales Details

Net sales of 1,127,300 MT for the 2011-12 marketing year were mainly reported for Japan (314,500 MT, including 98,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,000 MT), South Korea (265,600 MT, including 57,800 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 15,000 MT), unknown destinations (133,100 MT), Egypt (124,500 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Costa Rica (111,700 MT). Decreases were reported for Saudi Arabia (10,000 MT). Net sales of 41,100 MT for delivery in 2012-13 were reported for Japan.

Weekly Export Details

Exports of 484,900 MT were primarily reported for South Korea (115,500 MT), Mexico (114,400 MT), Japan (98,700 MT), Egypt (64,500 MT), Taiwan (41,200 MT), and Canada (17,900 MT). 

Comments and Performance Indicators

Sales were well above expectations. Export commitments are down 10% from year ago, early in the marketing year. This compares to 14% behind last week.

Wheat

Net sales of 413,500 MT for the 2011-12 marketing year were down 19 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for Chile (83,200 MT), Saudi Arabia (56,800 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (50,100 MT), Japan (44,800 MT), Thailand (38,600 MT), and Mexico (37,400 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (49,200 MT). ). 
Weekly Export Details
Exports of 471,200 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were mainly to Chile (115,700 MT), Japan (98,600 MT), Nigeria (62,900 MT), Saudi Arabia (56,800 MT), Mexico (56,100 MT), the United Arab Emirates (29,700 MT), and Singapore (18,200 MT).
Comments and Performance Indicators
Sales were within trade expectations. Export commitments are 15% behind year-ago early in the marketing year, compared to 15% behind last week.

Net sales of 351,900 MT for the 2011-12 marketing year were mainly reported for Mexico (161, 200 MT), China (112,700 MT, including 115,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 301,300 MT), Costa Rica (47,500 MT), Tunisia (27,000 MT), Vietnam (23,800 MT), and Cuba (16,000 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (64,000 MT).

Exports of 303,400 MT were primarily reported to China (239,700 MT), Mexico (20,600 MT), Taiwan (17,200 MT), Indonesia (17,100 MT), and Japan (3,400 MT).

Sales were below expectations. Export commitments are running 20% behind year-ago, which compares to 19% behind last week.

Net sales of 37,300 MT resulted as increases for Venezuela (15,900 MT), Morocco (13,900 MT), Japan (13,100 MT, including 10,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Philippines (5,800 MT), and the Dominican Republic (4,100 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (10,400 MT), Ireland (6,000 MT), and Canada (5,700 MT). Net sales of 160,300 MT for delivery in 2011-2012 were reported mainly for Mexico (49,200 MT), the Philippines (43,400 MT), and Canada (20,800 MT).

Exports of 126,200 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Venezuela (41,500 MT), Canada (17,100 MT), Morocco (16,900 MT), Mexico (16,300 MT), and Japan (10,600 MT).

Sales were above expectations. Export commitments are running 19% behind year-ago compared to 20% behind last week.

Exports of 6,800 MT were up 89 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Venezuela (5,300 MT), Mexico (900 MT), and Canada (500 MT).
Comments and Performance Indicators
Sales were within expectations. Export commitments are 9% below year-ago compared to 8% below of year-ago last week.

Net Upland sales reductions of 171,300 running bales for the 2011-12 marketing year resulted as increases for Turkey (25,600 RB), Mexico (17,400 RB), Taiwan (6,400 RB, including 2,000 RB switched from Japan), and Morocco (4,100 RB), were more than offset by decreases for China (201,100 RB) Japan (17,400 RB), Pakistan (4,400 RB), South Korea (2,800 RB), and Vietnam (2,600 RB). Net sales of 36,600 RB for delivery in 2012-13 were reported for South Korea (21,100 RB), Japan (13,700 RB), and China (1,800 RB). Optional origin sales were reported for China (13,200 RB).  
Weekly Export Details
Exports of 63,800 RB were mainly to Mexico (17,600 RB), Vietnam (10,600 RB), Turkey (7,100 RB), and Bangladesh (5,500 RB).

Export commitments are 16% behind year-ago compared to 1% ahead last week.
