Weekly Gasoline and Highway Diesel Report

empty road 4National gasoline prices fell across the board again during the report week and have shown signs of easing over last year's price. Diesel followed the same trend, showing softening prices both week-over-week and year-over.


Average national retail price for regular gasoline fell 0.045 to 3.349 per gallon. East Coast gasoline down 0.040 to 3.417; Midwest declined 0.036 to 3.284; Gulf Coast 0.036 lower 3.122 marking the cheapest gasoline in the nation again this week.

Rocky Mountain gasoline 0.077 lower to 3.328 and the West Coast posts a 0.071 decline to 3.544 -- falling 0.004 over the same time last year.

Highway Diesel --

National average price for highway diesel 0.036 lower nationwide, ending the report week below four dollars at 3.991 -- 0.097 over year-ago.

East Coast highway diesel falls 0.027 to 4.069; Midwest 0.037 lower to 3.977; Gulf Coast down 0.027 to 3.874 marking the lowest priced highway diesel in the nation.

Rocky Mountain region diesel 0.051 lower during the report week to 3.938 -- 0.053 lower year-over; West Coast falls 0.055 week-over to 4.042 -- 0.019 lower year-over.
