Clovis had a position as a co-chairman during Trump’s presidential campaign. The withdrawal comes after court papers reveal Clovis had communications with George Papadopulous who lied to the FBI about his talks with Russian officials.
Farm Journal’s Washington D.C. insider Jim Wiesemeyer believes this might not be the end of Clovis’ career.
