Each year, a group of judges made up of farmers, ranchers and industry professionals selects the Top 10 New Products at the 2012 World Ag Expo, held in mid-February in Tulare, Calif.

Here are some of the products that weren't mentioned in the article "Farm Show Stars":

Saw Stop

Designed by a wood worker with a doctorate in physics, this table saw prevents operator injury by detecting human skin and stopping the spinning saw blade before it can do any harm. The SawStop mechanically stops and lowers the blade below the table surface and out of harm’s way in 3 to 5 milliseconds.
The SawStop works with any standard 10-inch blade or 8-inch dado stack of bales. It’s available from Oregon-based SawStop LLC in four versions. The price ranges from $1,599 to $5,000.

Oxbo 9120 Raspberry Harvester

Designed and built to pick only the highest quality fruit, this machine from Oxbo International is equipped with a rotary-style picking head, a minimal number of very short drops and a gentle but effective cleaning system.

This new, single-use disposable tree protector is designed to provide newly planted orchard trees with better protection from sunburn and herbicide injury than standard white paper tree protectors -- for a similar price. Fowler Nurseries of Newcastle, Calif., developed SuperSleeve after California’s fruit and nut tree growers suffered heavy sunburn damage in 2009.
