The eyes of the agricultural world will turn to Tulare, Calif., next week as the 43rd annual World Ag Expo opens for three days.
The "Powering Global Agriculture” event will take place Feb. 9-11 at the International Agri-Center.
It's the largest annual agricultural exposition of its kind with 1,600 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment from 67 countries on 2.6 million sq. ft. of show grounds.
This year's World Ag Expo will offer seminars ranging from international agriculture to dairy and irrigation. Also on display will be the 2010 Top-10 New Products showcased inside the New Product Pavilion on Expo Lane and R Street. A panel of agribusiness professionals from across the nation, including farmers, ranchers and industry professionals, selected the Top-10 New Products and 10 Honorable Mention Products from more than 70 entries.
Winners of the new 2010 World Ag Expo Forage Challenge, presented by Mycogen Seeds, will be on display at the Expo, along with educational displays and seminars where growers can learn more about forage production. The competition was launched earlier this year to allow farmers and ranchers from 11 western states to demonstrate their skills in producing high-quality forage.
Also new this year, World Ag Expo and AgCareers.com have teamed up to open the Hilvers Career and Education Center. The Center will assist job seekers at World Ag Expo 2010 with job placement assistance. It will be located in the Hilvers building on Median Street and "S” Street.
Online attendee registration is now open at WorldAgExpo.com.
