Deere Announces Loaned Executive Appointment For Community Development Efforts

MOLINE, Illinois (August 6, 2008)— Deere & Company announced today it has appointed William A. Ratzburg as a loaned executive to work on specific projects with Renew Moline and the Quad City Development Group. The appointment offers additional management expertise to important community initiatives for the two organizations.

"Deere & Company periodically has offered loaned executives when there is a need in community development organizations," said Amy Nimmer, director of community relations at Deere. "Bill's experience in business development initiatives will assist Renew Moline and the Quad City Development Group in the efforts of these organizations to enhance the Quad City area."

Ratzburg has worked for Deere since 1996, mostly in business development efforts for the company. He also has experience as a chief financial officer and executive vice president at other companies and he holds an MBA and a BA in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has been a Quad City resident for over 30 years.
