Use Less Fertilizer to Help Drive Down Prices

Dear AgWeb,

I have already decided not to put any dry fertilizer on this year. I have kept our fertility levels high on all the farms I take care of. It is now time to withdraw a little from the ground. My soil test indicate I can go thru a corn- bean cycle without putting my crop under any stress for lack of fertilizer.

If EVERY farmer did this we would see the price of dry fall. You have to have seed, N, and weed control. But even small changes in those products will make a difference.
