Three of the largest seedcorn suppliers in the U.S. confirm sales only adequate to plant 84 million acres
Since all acres have to be certified by July 15, isn't this just a big waste of money?
Dairyman, this is just my point. Without the USDA you might not have to milk 3000 cows three times a day and still lose $1000/hd per year. None of us know where we are in our business b/c of all the funny numbers. I truely believe that we are seeing the pendulum swing against the large producer finally. USDA has supported farm consolidation for the last 40 years (b/f I was born), and now that they own us they can fix it so that you are now going to be "bailed out" at what price? Answer; They will control YOUR business which was their original intention (think GM, Banks etc)!
