Big R went out in style.
Ron McCoy, "Big R" to his many friends, from Washington C.H., Ohio, passed away January 24, 2017 at the age of 78. Big R farmed his entire life. His many friends and family who loved him so arranged an amazing send off for Big R. My good friend Cody Kirkpatrick with JD Equipment, Inc. (http://www.jdequipment.com) shared this with me:
"This past week I lost a great man in my life. He and I farmed together and he was just like a dad to me. We decided to send him off in style. His pride and joy semi (1995 Kenworth T600) led the procession and his John Deere 9200 tractor he bought new led us to the cemetery."
"Ron and I have farmed together for many years," said Kirkpatrick. "I had Ron's nephew Jeff Fullen drive the truck because he had bought it brand new. Ron farmed his whole life, right to the end."
