The Machinery Journal blog is your place to find the latest machinery updates, industry news, and interesting tid bits.
The Case IH comparison tool allows a user to select up to five competitive models in the following equipment categories:
Planting and Seeding Equipment
Hay and Forage Equipment
Then you can convert the results to PDF or Excel worksheet.
Check out the Case IH tool here: http://comparison.caseih.com/
This past year, AGCO also introduced a comparison tool here (which includes combines) here http://agcocompare.agcocorp.com/
Dear Farm Journal,
Once again did you do any research before selecting this article and site to advertise? The Case IH site completely restricts what tractors you can compare against. I choose one of the Case tractors to compare with and was not allowed to select a competitors tier IV tractor to compare with. I should be able to compare with any tractor in the same class.
I think you need to let your readers know that you are just a distribution point for these press releases and not actually reporting on them. You are lending credibility to some
of these companies marketing ploys. If you are going help them get the word out you should also report or blog as to what they can do and not do and what other choices are out there. AGCO's page is better, probably still could allow you a little more freedom. TractorData.com has a site, but it is not as up to date as it could be, or as informative as the other two mentioned.
I just think that Farm Journal is not doing itself any good by being a pipe line for the major brands and not helping the farmers get the best information available.
