Nothing major to report in the weekly crop updates. Both corn and beans conditions overall were unchanged with good/excellent categories at 72% and 70% respectively. That said, it would appear we are on track for an early harvest. Corn in the dough stage has now reached 38%, which is 18% ahead of normal and beans setting pods are at 60% versus the normal 41%. There is a growing unease about the August weather forecast as it would appear another heat wave, with limited rainfall is moving into the Midwest, which may not be an ideal way to finish out either of these crops but of course particularly beans.
