Associated Press: U.S. Sues Iowa Dairy For Clean Water Act Violations

A dairy farmer in Iowa is facing a federal lawsuit for violating the Clean Water Act. According to a story by the Associated Press, manure wastewater from the dairy is being deposited into two tributaries of the Big Sioux River.

John Dillard, an environment and agriculture lawyer with OFW Law, says the farm could face monetary ramifications up to $37,500 per day under the Clean Water Act.
