Illinois Farmer Plans to Start Harvest in Early August

Diane Barnett, Jacksonville, Ill., says she anticipates starting harvest within the next three weeks, based on the condition of the corn crop in her area. With the hot, dry weather the crop has experienced, Barnett says it makes sense to get it out of the field before standability becomes an issue.
