Irrigation Sensor Solution

An irrigation system developed by the Swiss start-up PlantCare recommends water prescriptions using wireless sensors. The soil-moisture sensors continuously report moisture levels to a central computer, which makes the recommendations based on how much water can be absorbed by plants under irrigation. While the company primarily serves fruit and vegetable growers, the technology can be used across a range of applications. Reports are reliable at soil depths as shallow as 2". The PlantControl D wireless data logger monitors up to 99 wireless sensors with a top range of more than 18.5 miles using an optional Range Extender. Up to 100,000 records can be stored.
