Is The Disaster Aid Package On Fast Track?

May 22, 2019 09:45 AM

The House of Representatives is set to vote on the disaster aid package on Tuesday.

The pressure continues to pass a disaster aid package before Congress dismisses for a week-long recess. It’s a potential deal which may cover natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, wildfires and coverage for grain uninsured in busted grain bins.

National Reporter Betsy Jibben talks with those who may need the assistance most. She speaks with Charles Smith, a farmer from Jefferson County, Georgia; Ralph Sandeford, the President and CEO of the Midville Gin and Warehouse in Midville, Georgia; Bill Easterlin, the President and CEO of the Queensborough National Bank in Louisville, Georgia; Ashley Arrington, a Credit Development Officer with FarmHold Financial; Michael Stenzel, a farmer from Hamburg, Iowa and Holly Foster, a Rancher from Oroville, California.
