2013 Machinery Sales: Combines Up 10%, Tractors Up 9%

For the year 2013, total farm tractor sales rose about 9% compared to 2012, and combine sales were up roughly 10%, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers says in its monthly flash report.

Total unit sales of tractors and combines for December 2013 were roughly 3,000 units above the five-year average.

For the month of December 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were up nearly 2% compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales rose 9%, while combine sales rose 39%.
