U.S. farmers planted a record 96.9 million acres in 2012. Yet these acres yielded far from record production due to historic drought. How will acreage numbers shake out this spring?

An early December Farm Journal Pulse poll asked: What are your planting intentions for corn in 2013 versus 2012? Most farmers (54%) intend to plant the same amount of corn in 2013. Around 10% of the respondents plan to plant 1% to 10% more and 10% plan to plant 1% to 10% less.
